GAPSA Leadership

Aryaman Shah

Vice President for Programming

Currently serving as Vice President of Programming for GAPSA, Aryaman Shah has become a driving force in shaping graduate student life at the University of Pennsylvania. His promotion from Director of Social Programming recognizes his talent for creating events that resonate deeply with Penn's diverse community - whether organizing cultural celebrations that honor international traditions or professional mixers that spark unexpected collaborations.

A Master's student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Aryaman complements his technical background with financial acumen (CFA Level 1) and a genuine passion for bringing people together. While he could discuss reactor designs, he'd rather talk about designing experiences where classmates from different disciplines and countries find common ground.

Born in India and educated at BITS Pilani before coming to Penn, Aryaman understands both the challenges and rewards of building community in new environments. His programming philosophy is simple but powerful: "The best campus events should leave attendees feeling valued, connected, and excited to return."

When not planning the next big GAPSA event, Aryaman stays active through swimming and cricket, believing the same teamwork that wins games also builds stronger campus communities. His leadership continues to make Penn's graduate experience more vibrant, inclusive, and memorable for all.
