Ananth Srinivas

Director of Public Relations

Ananth is a sixth year PhD candidate at the Department of Earth & Environmental Science, where he studies paleontology. His research focuses on the evolution of skull shape, biomechanics and material properties of snakes and other limbless vertebrates. He has been involved with the Graduate women in science (GWIS) Philadelphia chapter, SASGov, GAPSA and the Penn EES Pod for Unlearning racism in Geosciences (URGE). In his two terms as the SASGov Vice President of Public Affairs, he was responsible for organizing the 2023 Penn Grad Talks, updating social media outlets and managing their website. He will bring over these skills to GAPSA this year as the Director of Public Relations. He is also the incoming president for SASGov and hopes to build a stronger relationship between the two organizations. He is a tech and design enthusiast.
