School Student Governments at Penn
(a.k.a. “G12 Organizations”)
In addition to the university-wide Graduate and Professional Student Assembly, each of the twelve graduate and professional schools at the University of Pennsylvania have their own unique students government organizations. The school student governments receive annual funding from the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly to promote academic, social and advocacy activities at the school level.
Each of these groups also sends at least one representative to the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly, as per ARTICLE II of the GAPSA constitution .
- The Annenberg Graduate Council at the Annenberg School for Communication
- The School of Arts and Sciences Student Government (SASgov) at the School of Arts and Sciences
- The Dental Medicine Student Council at the School of Dental Medicine
- The PennDesign Student Council at the School of Design
- The Graduate School of Education Student Government (GSESG) at the Graduate School of Education
- The Graduate Student Engineering Group (GSEG) at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences
- The Law School Council of Student Representatives at the Law School
- The Biomedical (Ph.D.) Graduate Student Association (BSGA) at the School of Medicine
- The Medical (M.D.) Student Government (MSG) at the School of Medicine
- The Nursing Graduate Student Organization (NGSO) at the School of Nursing
- The Nursing Doctoral Student Organization (NDSO) at the School of Nursing
- The School of Social Policy and Practice Student Council at the School of Social Policy and Practice
- The Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SCAVMA) at the School of Veterinary Medicine
- The Wharton Graduate Association (WGA) at the Wharton School
