Gaurav Shukla is GAPSA's 2016-2017 President and is excited to serve the Penn graduate and professional student communities.
Gaurav is a second year student in the Masters of Medical Physics program. He also did his Bachelors degree at Penn and graduated in 2014 with majors in Physics & Astronomy and Philosophy. Before coming to Penn, he was born and raised in Lucknow, India.
He served as the Vice President of Technology for Pan-Asian American Graduate Student Association and as his department's representative on School of Arts and Sciences Government (SASGov) from 2015-2016. He is also a Graduate Associate in the Riepe College House.
In his time as President, he hopes to strengthen the connections between different parts of the university and help build a unified Penn community. He aims to encourage greater collaboration between the 12 graduate schools, affinity groups and other student groups on campus. He will also be working on engaging our graduate alumni so that they can continue to feel like an integral part of the Penn community and be a valuable resource for current students.
