Travel Grant for Professional Students

Any graduate student enrolled full-time in a professional degree program (those other than the M.A., M.S. or Ph.D.) is eligible to apply for the GAPSA Professional Student Travel Grant. Since a significant portion of a professional student’s education is the knowledge and networks gained at conferences, this program continues GAPSA’s long-standing efforts to provide the best opportunities to Penn’s professional students. Applicants must be in good standing, and must be able to demonstrate the academic significance of the conference.

Eligible graduate students may request individual travel grants for up to $300 or half of their total travel expense, whichever is less. Conference registration fees, transportation (by the most economical means available) and lodging (excluding meals) may all be included when calculating total travel expense.

The GAPSA travel grant should be a last resort for funding; the student is expected to have attempted to secure funding from other sources before submitting a GAPSA travel grant application.

Please read the Instructions for the GAPSA Professional Student Travel Grant for additional information.

Deadlines:

  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis during the academic year, but must be submitted at least three weeks before the conference.
