Pluralism Council
Welcome to the Pluralism Council,
Our goal in GAPSA is to provide a forum for the underrepresented umbrella organizations on campus. We help with funding, publicity, and advocacy for events and issues that arise within the diversity community of a school or Penn community. We hope the further descriptions and links help you find more ways to get involved on campus and learn more about your fellow graduate and professional colleagues.
The 2008-2009 Pluralism Council has identified three key focus issues:
- Obtain current information on underrepresented students to better engage them
- Create a one-stop GAPSA webpage for information on diversity at Penn
- Develop a Grad Club Day to showcase student organizations at the beginning of the year.
This year Pluralism Council was able to work with the umbrella organizations to receive level funding from the University to continue to support the activities and programming of such organizations. And we supported the Lambda Grads during their annual awareness week in March.
